2. Does the airport company employ many people?
Palmerston North International Airport supports some 360 jobs. These jobs are mostly located on the airport and range from airline check-in staff and ground-handlers to Flight Crew instructors. Approximately 50% of the jobs are involved 'air-side'.
The airport company however employs very few people directly - most are employed by airlines, contractors, and transport-related businesses.
