The International Departure Receipt is NZ$25.00 including GST and can be purchased at the Service Desk at the flight Check-in counters. A Departure Receipt is required for each passenger aged 12 years and over. Pack all sharp items and other articles prohibited in the cabin into the bags that you check-in. New rules for liquids and gels apply from 31 March 2007. In summary, the new measures are:
International Arrivals You will need your Passport and a completed "New Zealand Passenger Arrival Card" which you will have received on the flight.
Domestic flights
Check in at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time (see also below for onward international travel). All boarding calls are announced over the speaker system.
The Domestic Departure Development Levy is NZ$5.00 (including GST) payable for all domestic travel prior to 1 October 2012, and can be purchased at either the Service Desk by the check-in counters or Skywards Cafe on the first floor. (During office hours 8am-5pm Mon-Fri, Receipts can also be purchased individually or in quantities from Palmerston North Airport's office on the first floor.) A Departure Development Levy Receipt is required for each passenger aged 5 years and over. No bags to check in?? - Simply be at the boarding gate 20 minutes before your flight and have your Departure Levy Receipt, and your E-ticket, epass or mpass ready to scan. Traveling on internationally after your domestic flight? - Depending on the international airline concerned, Air New Zealand can often check your bags right through from Palmerston North to your destination. To achieve that, you need to check in at least 60 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time from Palmerston North. On arrival into Palmerston North, checked in baggage can be collected from the self-claim area at the eastern end of the Terminal.
